You Can’t Trust Self-Control With Your Money

July 19, 2017

Self-control is a tricky thing.

Sometimes it works (and you feel like a superhero), and sometimes you shame yourself by failing miserably at it.

Self-control is even trickier when it comes to spending. One day you’re congratulating yourself for resisting the temptations of impulse buying and untraceable expenses, the next you’re looking at your disappearing account balance in utter shock.

Truth: You can’t trust self-control where your money is concerned.

Like the rest of us, you’re human. You can let yourself down anytime.

So instead of relying on internal resistance to spend wisely, do something smarter and easier: set a daily spending limit on your account. It automatically controls how much you can spend per day based on a figure you set.

“I can’t do that.”

What do you mean you can’t? Of course, you can.

If you’re already on ALAT, open the app and click¬Accounts¬†on the menu. Look out for¬Set my spending limit.

If you’re not on ALAT, do the right thing, take control of your money.
